Away for a week....

Ik had me verheugd om alle blogs te bezoeken die ik afgelopen week niet heb kunnen lezen. Maar....mijn vader belde net dat hij morgen naar Potsdam komt.
We gaan Potsdam en Berlijn onveilig maken! ;) Helaas moet ik jullie nog even missen!

I was looking forward to visit all the blogs that I wasn´t able to visit last week to read all your adventures. But....I just got a call from my father that he is coming to visit me tomorrow. I´m going to show him Potsdam and Berlin for the rest of the week and probably won´t have the time to spend some time in blogland. So I will have to miss all of you just a bit longer!

I´m in need of a maid.....

Pffffffffffff, de week is voorbij en Hallelujah!
De draaidagen voor de film zijn voorlopig afgelopen en mijn leven is weer aardig normaal, min of meer
Mark is net weg voor een week in de VS en ja ..... met de camera. Ik voel me naakt zonder dat ding, ben ik verslaafd?
Het was een leuke week, maar oh zo vermoeiend. Ik moest o.a. zorgen voor 4 mini-diva's en ik applaudeer voor elke vader en moeder in deze wereld. Serieus! Het ene moment zijn het engeltjes en de volgende seconde zijn ze kleine duivels in vermomming. Respect! Ik was in ieder geval compleet en dan ook compleet uitgeput. Vooral van het werk op de filmset waar ik ze schoon, happy en ongehavend moest houden. Catastrofe met een hoofdletter C!

Pffffffffffff, the week is over and Hallelujah!
The film shoot is over for now and things are back to normal, more or less.
Mark just left for another week in the US and yes.....with the camera. I feel naked without it, am I addicted?
It´s been a fun week but oh so exhausting. I had to take care of 4 mini-diva´s and I aplaude every mom and dad in this world. Seriously! One minute they are little angels and the next minute they are little devils in disguise. I bow to you all! ;)
I was completely exhausted, especially from the time on the film set where I had to keep them clean, happy and in one piece. Catastrophe with a capital C!

Dit zijn de kleine filmsterretjes....ziet er toch lief uit? Uhuh....

These are the little filmstars...looking and behaving sweet and angelic.......

Maar dit is de kamer waar ze zich daarvoor hadden uitgeleefd.;) Alle dekens, kussens, sjaals en tassen werden die ik bezit werden opgehaald en mee gespeeld. En ik heb veel van die dingen. Maar ja....ze waren wel lekker rustig.

But this is what they did to the other room ;) All the blankets, cushions, scarfs and bags I owe were taken and played with. And I have a lot of those things.

Dus nu zou ik echt een dienstmeisje kunnen gebruiken!
Dit is Juliane, de actrice die het dienstmeisje speelde in de film. Ik zou het niet erg vinden om haar in het huis rond te hebben dwarrelen, ze was grappig, stout en helaas ..... niet een echte dienstmeisje.
Eigenlijk zou een butler ook wel prettig zijn. Alleen voor vanavond. Dan kan ik eindelijk weer de luie huisvrouw zijn!

Dus vanavond ben ik de ultieme couchpotato en ga lekker een paar films kijken.... maar morgen ben ik weer terug in blogland Ik heb al gezien dat jullie niet hebben stilgezeten.

Tip! Voor iedereen die houdt van een goede lachbui en de Engelse taal geen bezwaar vind.....bezoek Spud van Spudballoo. Ze heeft de gekste, leukste blog en ik ben verslaafd aan haar 'Secrets'. Kom op... ontdek het zelf maar.

So now I could really use a maid.
This is Juliane, the actress who played the maid in the movie. I wouldn´t mind to have her around, she was funny, naughty and helas..... not a real maid.
Actually, the butler would be nice too. Just for tonight. So I can be the lazy housewife I want to be!

So tonight I´m going to be a couchpotato and watch some movies....but tomorrow I will be back in blogland, I have tons of blogs I want to visit.

Corner view "Street fashion" Potsdam-Berlin

Berlin and streetfashion. If you never have been to Berlin you may not know this...it is the city where you sit naked, watching the boats on the river Spree.
Where you wear your ballgown as in the olden days and where you hang your partydress in the street after a night out in town!

Well...ok....I cheated. I didn´t have the time to take some foto´s this week and dived into our ´archives´.
I´m helping my friend who is directing a childrens movie this week. And I´m somewhat of a personal assistant, a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear and babysitter. It is exciting and ooh boy, so not my world. I love the quiet life and the filmbusiness is all but quiet. But I love the atmosphere and to see how a film is made.
I had to play a part only for rehearsal sake and I hated it!!!! Film makes you 10 pounds bigger and in my case I like to think it was actually 50 pound. If you ever want to make sure you keep your diet....go on film and you will go an a water and bread diet. Really!
She wanted to cast me as the ´crazy Dutch neighbour´. Well.. I can see where that comes from as I am Dutch and a neighbour and certainly crazy at times. But to play it.....no way.
I´m the girl that fell ´sick´ the moment she had to do something in front of the class and didn´t finish her study French because she was too afraid to be in front of a class. I´m shy and I always try to avoid that someone takes my picture. And then I should go act and be on film? Not gonna happpen! Somewhere deep inside me I wish I had the guts...but that is so deep I can´t be bothered. ;)
So I will be late this week to watch all the hip and maybe not so hip fashion around the world, but I´m looking forward to do my trip around the world and have a look at your blog.

Little Miss Kitty

Allereerst wil ik jullie even heel erg bedanken voor de tips en voor het meedenken. Ik ben over de streep getrokken en na vanmiddag helemaal was ik helemaal verkocht.
En dit is ze dus...... Nu nog eens worden over een naam ....maar daarvoor hebben we nog even tijd.
Over 5 weken kunnen we haar ophalen....het liefst zou ik tot die tijd bij die mensen intrekken om niets te missen! Moet toch kunnen.....ik ben lief, gezellig en eet niet echt veel. ;)
Oja....de kittens hebben wel een hele bijzondere oppas. De hond van de familie is dikke maatjes met de moederkat en moedert ook gezellig mee. Het was geweldig om dat te zien. Het liefst zou ik de hele bubs meegenomen hebben!

First of all I want to thank you all for the sweet comments and for helping me out! After reading them I thought, okay...let´s do it. And after seeing them...I was sold! ;)
So here she is.......Now we have to find a name we both like.
We can pick her up in about 5 weeks. I´m considering moving in with the family were she lives....I don´t want to miss a thing. Shouldn´t be a problem....I´m sweet, social and don´t eat much. ;)
Oh....the kittens have a very special babysitter. The family dog is best friends with the mother cat and is always around to take care of her and her kittens. It was so special to witness that. So sweet!

Mozes is going to have a little sister/brother....

Morgen gaan we naar een nest katjes kijken.
Sinds Winnie (onze andere kat) gestorven is, is Moos niet meer dezelfde. We hebben het gevoel dat ze haar mist. En hoewel we veel met haar spelen en knuffelen, we zijn nou eenmaal geen katten.
Dus .....gaan we morgen één van deze druifjes uitzoeken. En we hopen echt dat ze het met elkaar kunnen vinden.

Heeft iemand ervaring hiermee. Moos is al 8 en een haaibaaitje, ze was altijd aan het jagen op Winnie. Nou was Winnie ook wel een extreem sullige kat, die was volgens mij bij de geboorte al een oude ziel. Spelen was niet echt har ding.
Wat raden jullie aan....een mannetje of een vrouwtje? En zijn katten inderdaad eenlingen en het liefst alleen, zoals gezegd wordt. Of zijn ze gelukkiger als er een andere kat in het huis is?
Vragen, vragen, vragen. Ik weet even niet of ik er goed aan doe een andere kat erbij te nemen. Of ik haar daar wel een plezier mee doe......of de kitten. Wat als ze als het niet klikt? Pffffff.....wat een neurotische post! ;) Ik wil gewoon dat Moos weer gelukkig is.
Maar ik ga ongelooflijk voor de bijl als ik morgen die wolbolletjes zie...mij kun je ook niet meenemen naar een asiel. Ik ga of janken of ik neem ze allemaal mee. ;)
Een heel gezellig weekend allemaal en ik houd jullie op de hoogte.

Tomorrow we are going to have a look at some kittens.
Ever since Winnie (our other cat) died, Mozes has not been the same. We have the feeling she is missing a friend to play with, she´s bored. And although we play and cuddle with her alot....we´re just not the furry kind
So ...... one of these cuties is coming home to us in a few weeks. And we hope and pray they get along.

Does anyone of you have any experience with taking another cat....what would you recommend? She´s 8 years old. Is it better to have a female or male cat as her compagnion? We used to have 2 girls...they were not the best of friends ... they accepted each other. Moos was always the wild one...chasing Winnie.
Is she allready too old to accept another kitten? Question, questions. I´m really not sure if we are doing the right thing by taking another kitten....if it would make her happy or unhappy. And if the kitten will be happy. Gosh.....what a neurotic post!! ;) I just want to her be more happy.
But who am I kidding. I will be all over those little ones tomorrow! That´s why I never go to an animal shelter...I will either cry my eyes out or wanting to take them all home.

I´m a big fan of Lou, the daughter of Isabelle of Lou et Tom. She is such a talented girl! I commented on a post where Isabelle showed a drawing Lou made. I just loved the colors and the cute bird.
A few days later I received this! How lucky am I?

Allereerst......de echtgenoot is weer gezellig thuis!

First of all ...... the hubby is back home !
He made me completely jealous of his ride along the coast.... above one of his photo´s.

En....ik heb dit weekend maar liefst 2!! awards gekregen. De Lemonade Award van Veronique van Een sneller kloppend hart. Ik vind het geweldig leuk dat ze het aan me gegeven heeft!
En de tweede Lemonade Award komt van Jo van Simple Pleasure. Ik vind het fantastisch dat ze me samen met Carmie een award geeft.
Nogmaals bedankt meiden!
Toen ik Mark vertelde dat ik maar liefst 2 Awards gekregen had was zijn droge antwoord: O, dan moet je wel een ´speech´ schrijven. En dat doe ik dan ook maar eens! ;)

And .... I got this weekend 2 awards!
The Lemonade Award from Veronique of Een sneller kloppend hart. And the second Lemonade Award from Jo of Simple Pleasure. I love, love, love both blogs and have such a good time reading them and I also love the fact that they are both such nice women. So girls...you have made me jump up and down the daybed with joy this weekend!
When I told Mark that I received no less than 2 Awards his dry reply was: ´Ok, now you should write a speech´. So ....here it goes! ;)

Ik ben zo vereerd! *snif, snif*
Ik had het niet verwacht! Maar echt, het is een grote eer om te worden genomineerd, naast zoveel andere geweldige blogs. Ik dank mijn ouders, mijn vrienden en familie, het internet, Blogger en iedereen die mijn blog bezoekt om te lezen wat ik nu weer meegemaakt heb.
Ik dank natuurlijk ook mijn man, Mark omdat hij altijd mijn verhalen leest en dat hij 'zijn' camera weer aan me teruggegeven heeft.
En dat is waarom ik hem de Lemonade Award geef. Hij is degene die wilde dat ik een blog zou beginnen ..... dus hij is eigenlijk degene die ervoor gezorgd heeft dat ik hier nu sta!

Morgen komt mijn grote liefde weer terug! En dan bedoel ik de man...niet de camera! ;)
Ben benieuwd naar zijn belevenissen en .... ben gewoon blij dat hij weer thuis is.
De foto hierboven is ons miniraam in de wasruimte.
De foto hieronder is één van de ramen in de woonkamer. I.p.v. een gordijn hangt hier een mangeldoek. Het had precies de goede breedte en nu ben ik nog op zoek naar één met een blauwe rand.

Een heel gezellig weekend allemaal!

I am curious about his adventures and .... I'm just glad he is back home.

The photo above is of one of the windows in the living room. Instead of a curtain I used a mangle cloth. It was exactly the right width and now I am still looking for one with a blue border.

Okay, beaches. That´s something you won´t find Berlin.
There are a lot of beachbars with artificial made beaches. The ones along the river Spree are my favorites. And I love my strandbar here in Potsdam to have my coffee as you allready have seen in some of my posts.

But for the real beaches we have to go up north, to the Ostsee. Last year we visited the island Rügen. We went there late in the summerseason and had the beach almost to ourselves. We always love to look for some beachfinds and this time we hoped to find some amber. But helas....

Yooooohoooo...I´m back!

Daar was ze weer! ;)
Ik ben gisteren terug gekomen na een week vol gezelligheid. Wat heb ik genoten van alle drukte. Compleet in de watten gelegd door mijn ouders en vriendinnen. Toch wel prettig dat je als volwassen vrouw even een weekje weer het kind bent. ;)
Boerenkool eten terwijl het mooi weer is.....koffie met een koekje krijgen....wurgknuffels van mijn moeder en naar de rommelmarkt met mijn vader.
Maar waar ik het meeste van genoten heb....de slappe lachmomenten met mijn ouders en vriendinnen!
Mark is vanochtend vetrokken naar Amerika, met de camera! Hij gaat na een week werken de kust van Californie verkennen en tja...dat moet natuurlijk wel vastgelegd worden voor de zielige achterblijvers (ik dus).
Toen hij zei dat hij dat de camera mee wilde nemen had ik even een moment van ......eeeeh NEEEEE! Dat heb ik nodig voor mijn belevenissen in blogland! Ok, dat hij rondtoert in Amerika...zonder mij!...daar kan ik mee leven. Maar....de camera meenemen! Dat is ronduit gemeen! :)
Dus dames en heren, deze week stort ik me op jullie blogs om te lezen wat jullie allemaal beleefd hebben, maar is het nog even stil hier.

Kay en Isabelle, allebei bedankt voor jullie verrassingspakketjes! En nou kan ik het niet eens laten zien! Maar dat haal ik zo gauw mogelijk in.

I returned yesterday after a week full of fun. How I enjoyed the hustle and bustle. I was completely pampered by my parents and friends.
I had delicious meals ..... lots of coffee .... lots of hugs.
But what I've enjoyed the most .... the laughter I shared with my parents and friends!
Mark left this morning for America, with the camera! After a week of work he´s going to explore the Californian coast and well ... that should of course be documented for the ones at home (that´s poor me!).
When he said he wanted to take the camera I had a moment of ...... eeeeh NOOOOOOOOOO! I need it for my my own adventures... in blog land! Ok, that he is going to tour in America ... without me! ... I can live with that. But .... to take the camera with him! That´s just plain mean! :)
So my dears, this week I will visit all your blogs to see what I have missed, but it will be quiet here for another week.

Kay and Isabelle, thank you both for your surprises! I received a box full of goodies from Kay (with a DVD that was on my wishlist to see) and a gorgeous little bag from Isabelle and Lou. And now I can not even show it! But I will get to that as soon as possible.
